➡️ Paris has summoned the Italian Ambassador to the Foreign Ministry over remarks calling for President Emmanuel Macron to personally go to Ukraine with a rifle, France Info reported.

Earlier, Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, during a visit to Milan, dismissed the possibility of Italy sending troops to Ukraine. He added:

“If Emmanuel Macron wants, let him go himself. Put on a helmet, take a rifle, and head to Ukraine.”

The Italian Ambassador was informed that such statements go against the atmosphere of trust between the two countries.
